PlantX Life Inc., a digital plant sales platform company based in West Vancouver, Canada, announced that it will expand the market for Bloombox Club Limited, a UK-like platform that it acquired for £8 million in November, into Germany.
In Germany, Bloombox Club will be launched with a new domain, but the features presented will be the same as those offered in its home country. These features include plant purchasing services, plant care packages, and various pots and accessories.
“We are really excited to be rolling Bloombox Club into Germany,” said Katie Cooper, founder of Bloombox Club, in an announcement on Thursday (4/2). “The German plant market is ripe for a players like Bloombox Club.”
Founded by Cooper in 2015, Bloombox Club has now transformed into a fast-growing digital technology-based plant sales business that has shipped more than 55,000 plants to around 24,000 customers across the UK.
Once acquired, Cooper will continue to operate Bloombox Club as a wholly owned subsidiary of PlantX. PlantX has also grown throughout Canada, the United States, and Israel.
Julia Frank, CEO of PlantX, expressed great confidence in the Bloombox Club and the importance of indoor plants. “It’s remarkable to watch them grow their platform and expand into new and exciting territories.”
